Former Wichita high school standout Bryce Brown might be headed for Kansas State, but he won’t be receiving his release from Tennessee. Tennessee coach Derek Dooley told the Knoxville News Sentinel on Friday that he will not release Brown from his scholarship.

Iowa State football: Sims pleads not guilty to unauthorized use of card

Suspended Iowa State safety David Sims pleaded not guilty to a charge of unauthorized use of a credit card Thursday, according to an online courts record search. He entered the plea through his Des Moines attorney, Matthew Boles. Sims, a transfer who was last season’s Big 12 Conference defensive newcomer of the year, is accused of charging around $600 worth of items on a credit/debit card Veronica Gonzalez of Des Moines reported as lost.
