LAWRENCE — Kansas freshman basketball player Josh Selby hasn’t been cleared to play at Kansas yet, but he has been cleared by the NCAA to attend class, which he will beginning Tuesday. read more

LAWRENCE | One quarterback kept his answers short but said that his confidence would not be shattered by Kansas’ 6-3 loss to North Dakota State. The other couldn’t stop talking and effused positive vibes about the rest of the season. The reason for the difference in tone was obvious: Starter Kale Pick had been pulled from the game by his coaches, and backup Jordan Webb was sent in on a rescue mission. Kansas freshman guard Josh Selby said on his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon that “I feel good about me being cleared but I don’t know for sure.” The NCAA is investigating the relationship between Selby and Robert “Bay” Frazier, who is the business manager for Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony and advised Selby during his college recruitment process. Selby, Anthony and Frazier are all Baltimore natives.
